Walking is a simple, accessible way to increase physical activity and improve health. It’s also Maryland’s state exercise! Join Maryland senior centers in organizing older adults to walk the equivalent of the 850-mile course touching senior centers across the state.

Joining is easy. Just track your group fitness activities from July through Walk Maryland Day, October 4th, using our Senior Centers Walk Maryland Tracking Chart , and submit to the Maryland Department of Aging by October 9th via email to the Food & Wellness Programs Coordinator,

Participating centers will receive certificates of excellence by the Maryland Department of Aging as a show of appreciation for supporting the statewide health promotion campaign.
